This is an American pocket watch made by Waltham which was used by the British Government and military during the Second World War. Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Waltham, 16s, USA, Nine Jewels, Adj Temp” # 31698465 and is in 95% mint condition – a good examples Case – the movement comes in a white metal nickel open face case which has a screw on back and bezel. The back is engraved with a standard military issue arrow and also 30289. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 70% mint condition – many scratches on the back and sides which is usual with a Military issue watch. Dial – the black dial has old Luminous hands and numbers. It is signed “ Waltham” and is in 90% mint condition – small marks and some paint loss.
